CLUB Update 24 AUGUST 2020 ** IMPORTANT NOTICE **

24 Aug 2020

Dear NRSC Members and Families,

Off the back of the NSW Health directive issued earlier last week in relation to community sport in our State, Football NSW released its own set of guidelines that will allow our sport to continue for the remainder of this 2020 season. HOWEVER, THE ONUS IS ON US TO COMPLY. These guidelines are not drastically new, but rather reinforce the good practices that are already in place to reduce community transmission of Covid-19 and mitigate the risk to the Club and our community. We have listed the FNSW guidelines at the bottom of this notice for your convenience.

The Club has taken the FNSW guidelines into consideration and the NRSC Committee has agreed on additional enhancements at our 3 fields for the remaining 4 weeks of normal competition (24 Aug - 20 Sept) which will further protect our volunteers, parents and players. These additional rules that apply at our fields (including visiting teams) and apply to all of our members (including those playing away) are:

  • MANDATORY QR-CODE CHECK-IN PROCESS FOR ALL ATTENDEES AT NRSC GROUNDS (see details below)
  • 1 SPECTATOR PER PLAYER FOR JUNIOR TEAMS (U6-U16 age groups)
  • NO SPECTATORS ALLOWED FOR SENIOR TEAMS (U17 and above)
  • AFTER GAME & SOCIAL ACTIVITIES CANCELLED - No drinking after games, No Presentation Day/Night this year.

Please note = We envisage the spectator limits may be reviewed again prior to the Finals Series in late September and is dependant on the rules at the fields/Clubs hosting the games, Hills Football/FNSW guidelines and NSW Health guidelines applicable at that point in time.

Effective immediately, all visitors to North Rocks fields (North Rocks Park, Hazel Ryan Oval, Murray Farm Reserve) will need to check-in via a QR-code on their phone registering their attendance on the day. This includes all game days and training nights. You may experience the same at opposition grounds within our Association if playing away.

This is a critical measure that has been put in place to assist with contact-tracing in the event that a confirmed Covid-19 case has attended one of our grounds at a particular time/date. Only 1 person per household needs to do this each day of attendance at a particular field for the entire household to be traceable.

Please download your QR scanner app at:
For those without a phone or internet, there will be a manual signin process at the field.
